Coralie and Gordon

Slightly behind on getting this photo blog going, but here goes!

I had the most wonderful session with two very lovely and talented people at Newhailes House, just outside of Edinburgh. Gordon Turnbull is a musician, specializing in traditional Scottish and Irish folk music. He plays a variety of instruments, including various flutes and a whistle. Check out his website here: www.theflowmusic.co.uk I was lucky enough to hear some of his playing during our session. It was just beautiful to listen to and I'm very excited to check him out at Sandy Bells Bar in Edinburgh (he plays on Mondays!).

Coralie Mills  is a woodland historian, more specifically, an independent dendrochronologist and environmental archaeologist. Those of you who know me, know that I've always loved history, so it was fascinating to hear about her work. You can find out more about her here: http://dendrochronicle.co.uk/

The weather was fab. The estate was gorgeous. Apart from that pesky sun popping in and out of the clouds every few minutes, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Huge thanks to Coralie and Gordon for giving me the opportunity to work with them! I had a blast!
